Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Bario ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. The Service is operated by Barael LLC, a California limited liability company ("we," "us," or "Barael"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms on its behalf.

2. The Service

Bario is a project management platform for small teams. We provide tools for managing tasks, threaded messages, real-time chat, file storage, and AI-assisted features including thread summaries, auto-generated check-ins, and daily digest emails.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at eddie@barael.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Each workspace represents a distinct organization or client. You may belong to multiple workspaces. You are responsible for the conduct of all members you invite to your workspaces.

4. Billing and Payment

Paid plans are billed monthly per workspace. Pricing is listed at getbario.com/#pricing. All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.

Founding 50 pricing is locked for the life of the account as long as the subscription remains active. Lapses in payment or voluntary cancellation forfeit the founding rate.

We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods. You may cancel at any time; your plan remains active through the end of the paid period.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload or create in Bario. By using the Service, you grant Barael a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service to you.

You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. AI Features

Bario uses AI to generate thread summaries, check-in drafts, and daily digest emails. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point, not a final output. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before publishing or acting on it.

AI features may use your content (messages, to-dos, check-ins) as context for generation. We do not use your content to train AI models.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: transmit spam or unsolicited communications; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system; scrape or harvest data from the Service; interfere with the Service's operation; or violate any applicable law or regulation.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from workspace settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

Upon termination, your content will be deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. Use of AI features is at your own discretion.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Barael LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
